Kakao M opens voice about K-pop songs 'missing' on Spotify
Kakao M opened his voice about the issue of song licensing until finally a series of K-pop songs that they distributed were no longer available on Spotify.
"We have asked to renew our global contract, but Spotify informed us that the global contract has expired," said Kakao M.
"Beyond our existing global licensing agreement with Spotify, Kakao M has been in separate negotiations with Spotify regarding a contract for the supply of music domestically."
Kakao M then explained in more detail the rules for discussing song licenses at Spotiffy.
We have been informed that the global contract expires February 28. We have requested a contract extension. However, Spotify has global and domestic (Korean) contract policies that must be negotiated at the same time, "wrote Kakao M.
"So the global service is currently not available. We are still discussing the distribution and supply of music."
This statement was released shortly after Spotify stated that a number of K-pop songs could no longer be enjoyed on their streaming service starting March 1 because the joint license with Kakao M had ended.
"Despite our best efforts, the licensing agreement we have with Kakao M [which covers all countries other than South Korea] has ended," wrote Spotify.
In this official statement, Spotify still gave some hope to its users by saying it was committed to helping the growth of Korean music globally. Thus, it is hoped that this condition will only occur temporarily.
"We hope that this disturbance will be temporary and can immediately resolve the situation.

Microsoft is still closing IG's comments about Indonesian netizens being impolite
The Microsoft Instagram account has not yet opened its comments column after being attacked by netizen accounts from Indonesia. The action of Indonesian netizens was after Microsoft released the research of the most rude Indonesian netizens in Southeast Asia some time ago.
Based on CNNIndonesia.com's monitoring, Microsoft is still closing their Instagram social media comments column as of Monday (1/3) at 07.30 WIB since Friday (26/2) morning. The Microsoft account itself uploaded its last video on Sunday (28/2) afternoon.
Previously, Microsoft announced the politeness level of internet users throughout 2020 in a report entitled 'Digital Civility Index (DCI)'.
Indonesia is 29th out of 32 countries surveyed for politeness level, as well as being the lowest in Southeast Asia. The report is based on a survey of 16,000 respondents in 32 countries.

Microsoft announced that it involved 503 teen and adult respondents in the survey. The research was conducted from April and May 2020. The survey is an effort to promote safer, healthier and more respectful online interactions.
The report's scoring system ranges from a scale of zero to 100.The higher the score, the lower the online politeness in the country. The online politeness score in Indonesia itself has increased by eight points, from 67 in 2019 to 76 in 2020.
As a result, Microsoft's Instagram account was flooded with comments in Indonesian that were not accepted by the survey results on Thursday (25/2) night. Realizing that their company's account was attacked, Microsoft disabled the comments column on their account on Friday (26/2) morning.

Bill Gates Choose Android because it is flexible than the iPhone
The founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates announced that he prefers to use an Android phone rather than a cellphone made by Apple, the iPhone. The reason for choosing Android over iPhone for everyday use is because the Android operating system is more flexible.
This was conveyed by Bill Gates in an interview session with journalist from the United States, Andrew Ross Sorkin.
"Android is more flexible in connecting software with the operating system. So because that's what I finally got used to," said Bill Gates as reported by Androidauthority (26/2).
However, Bill Gates does not have an iPhone. He owns an iPhone and uses it for a number of reasons, one of which is when using Clubhouse which is only available on iOS.
He is also using the Clubhouse application which is currently on the rise to promote his latest book "How to Avoid a Climate Disaster".
"I actually use an Android phone. Because I want to keep track of everything, I will often play with the iPhone, but what I bring happens to be Android," said Gates.
Quoted by Pcmag, in 2019 Gates acknowledged the way he developed mobile phones made by Microsoft. He said that this was the biggest mistake of his career.
Microsoft has finally let Android be the only true rival to the iPhone.
Microsoft's ambition to compete with Android and iOS finally ran aground. At that time, Gates was not the leader of Microsoft, but Steve Ballmer, who served as CEO of Microsoft from 2000-2014.
